New Zealand has again outshined everyone in the cricket world. In the inaugural ICC World Test Championship’s final played on Wednesday at Southampton, New Zealand beat India by 8 wickets. New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson hit a 50, guiding the Kiwis towards victory.
India set a target of 139 runs on the scoreboard, the Blackcaps crossed it in 45.5 overs at the loss of 2 wickets. Williamson remained unbeaten at 52 runs off 89 balls, whereas Ross Taylor delivered the match-winning shot. They completely outplayed the men in blue in the second innings. This is New Zealand’s first win in an ICC event after almost 21 years.
